Francofilm Festival in Rome
8-16 March. The seventh edition of Francofilm, the festival dedicated to francophone or French-language films takes place at the Institut Français Centre Saint-Louis from 8-16 March.
Films will be screened in their original language, with subtitles in Italian, and there will be directors and actors present at the festival which is organised in collaboration with embassies and representatives of the international organisation of French-speaking countries.
Viewers can vote for their favourite film, which will be selected for a prize, in addition to a separate award from an expert panel of judges.
This year's programme features 12 feature films in competition, from Belgium, Canada-Quebec, France, Greece, Ivory Coast, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Mali, Morocco, Romania, Switzerland and Vietnam.
