Freedom Fighters. The Kennedys and the battle for civil rights
An exhibition dedicated to the brothers John and Robert Kennedy and their important role in the battle for civil rights in the US takes place at Rome's MAXXI Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI.
The exhibition of 80 photographs is being staged on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the assassination of JFK on 22 November 1963.
This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington organised by Martin Luther King on 28 August 1963 in support of the rights of Afro-Americans.
The exhibition is being staged in association with the US embassy in Italy.
A parallel exhibition of images on the same theme takes place concurrently at the Galleria Alberto Sordi on Via del Corso.
