23 April. The Keats-Shelley House presents From Mars and Cupid to the Tinted Venus: The Sculptor John Gibson and His Studio in Rome, a talk by Roberto C. Ferrari of Columbia University in New York, on Thursday 23 April at 17.00.
The Welsh sculptor John Gibson (1790-1866) was an outstanding Canova pupil who met Joseph Severn while in Rome and is buried at the Non-Catholic Cemetery.
