The Rome Savoyards are holding their second fundraising event on Friday 3 October from 18.00 – 20.30, hosted by St Stephen’s School.

There will be aperitivi and refreshments, a raffle and light entertainment by company members.

The cost is €25.00 per person and all proceeds go to Plays-in-Rome, the cultural and non-profit association created by The Rome Savoyards to fund future shows. Guests must RSVP by 30 September by emailing playsinrome@yahoo.com. For further info tel. 347/8248661.

The company was established Sandra Provost in 1981, with a nod to London’s Savoy Theatre, home to Gilbert and Sullivan. In recent years it has diversified into Shakespearian comedies, light comedies by Alan Bennett and Neil Simon, Restoration comedy as well as high drama.  

Its upcoming show The Dresser by Ronald Harwood takes place at Teatro S. Genesio, Via Podgora 1, from 4-9 November.
