Acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard is joined by special guest Lisa Hannigan at a concert in Rome's Auditorium Parco della Musica on Thursday 21 February. 

Best known as the lead singer with Dublin group The Frames, and one half of folk rock duo The Swell Season, Hansard is in Italy to promote his new album Rythym and Repose. Hansard's song Falling Slowly, co-written with Markéta Irglová and featured in the movie Once, won the Academy Award for best original song in 2007.

Hansard last performed in Rome at St Paul's Within the Walls on Via Nazionale in September 2011. 

Lisa Hannigan is also an award-winning Irish singer-songwriter who began her career as part of Damien Rice's band. Known for thoughtful lyrics and elusive musical style, Hannigan is beginning to make waves in the US music scene and last performed in Rome in July 2012 when she opened a concert for Paolo Nutini.
