Gli affreschi della tomba Franois
26 June-26 Sept 2004. The Etruscan tomb discovered in Vulci in 1857 by Alessandro Franois is considered one of the most interesting Etruscan remains. Shortly after its discovery, the frescoes were detached from the walls of the tomb and brought to Rome for restoration; since then they have been accessible only to scholars. Now, within the exhibition Eroi etruschi e miti greci, they have been mounted on a reconstruction of the tomb and are open to the public.
