The exhibition examines major developments in American art in the years following world war two, when the United States emerged as a global centre for modern art, drawing international attention to the Abstract Expressionists working in New York. It goes on to focus on Pop Art, Conceptualism, Minimalism and Photorealism. The exhibition also highlights the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
