John Elderfield and Clifford Ross discuss Helen Frankenthaler on 15 May.
Coinciding with Helen Frankenthaler's two exhibitions in Italy - at the Gagosian in Rome and Palazzo Grimani in Venice - the National Gallery of Modern Art hosts a conversation between John Elderfield, Curator Emeritus of the MoMA in New York, and Clifford Ross, artist and president of the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation.
The talk will be held in English at 18.00 on Wednesday 15 May in the gallery's Sala delle Colonne and admission is free. The discussion will be moderated by Flavia Frigeri, art historian and professor at the University College of London.
Helen Frankenthaler: Sea Change at the Gagosian is curated by John Elderfield and can be visited until 19 July. Painting / Panorama: Paintings by Helen Frankenthaler, 1952-1992 can be visited at Palazzo Grimani in Venice until 17 November.
