Holi Festival of Colours in Rome
Rome's first edition of the Holi Festival of Colours takes place at the Ippodrome delle Capannelle on 14 June.
Inspired by the ancient Hindu tradition also known as the festival of colours or the festival of love, Holi is marked in northern India each year in celebration of the victory of good over evil and the beginning of the spring.
A central requirement of the festival is that participants paint themselves with vivid colours and celebrate by throwing colourful powder in the air.
The Rome festival includes music by K-Paul, Crookers, and Ostblockschlampen.
Colours are sold at the festival. For full details see website or Facebook page.
