11 June. Hortis Urbis presents L'Insalata era nell'orto, a workshop for children in Italian and English, at 11.00 on Sunday 11 June.

The workshop, aimed at kids aged 3-12, is part of the outdoor spring activities of the Hortus Urbis, the garden in the Appia Antica Park with solely ancient Roman plants.

Lasting about 50 minutes, the workshop will allow children to experience the complete cultivation process from planting to harvest, step by step: sowing in pots, transplanting in the seedbed and harvesting.

At the end of the workshop, the junior gardeners will be awarded with freshly plucked vegetables from the Hortus Urbis gardens.
