Hortus Urbis celebrates it first birthday and opens the doors of its ancient vegetable garden, located in the splendid scenery of the regional park of the Appia Antica.
On occasion of the beginning of spring, it organises workshops for children and adults.
At 10.30 (and every following 30 minutes) there is a workshop, entitled Semi di Storia e Natura, which focuses on teaching small participants some easy gardening techniques. At 11.00 there is the workshop on Palline di Fukuoka for adults.
From 11.00 to 12.30 there is a conference followed by a practical demonstration on flowering spring bulbs for adults.
From 15.00 to 17.00 there is a seed barter with final auction: participants are invited to take their seeds and plants to exchange.
