IL LABORATORIO DEL GENIO: BERNINI DISEGNATORE
The National Gallery of Ancient Art at Palazzo Barberini showcases the work of baroque master Giovanni Lorenzo Bernini. The exhibition comprises 120 pieces, most of which come from the Museum der bildenden Künste Leipzig.
The German museum houses one of the richest collections of Bernini works, derived in part from the collection of Queen Christina of Sweden, which was purchased by Leipzig in 1713.
The exhibition includes some sculptures but mainly drawings, from sketches to decorative works and architectural designs.
