IL QUIRINALE. DALL’UNITA’ D’ITALIA AI NOSTRI GIORNI
30 Nov-17 March 2012.
This exhibition, organised to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italian unity, places the Quirinal Palace on show, highlighting its role in representing national unity, displaying its magnificent patrimony of works of art, and illustrating its conservation policy. The Quirinal, a former papal residence and venue of papal conclaves before becoming the official royal residence of the Italian kings, has been the official residence and workplace of the president of the Italian Republic since the monarchy was abolished in 1946.
