Il Sacro Bosco or Parco dei Mostri.
Built by Pier Francesco Orsini in the 16th century. An extraordinary mixture of statues, monuments,villas and monsters, cut from the tufa rock, take visitors on a journey through the traps and passions of life. Figures of mythology and fantasy from Ariosto's "Orlando Furioso" are used to people the park. Abandoned for more than a century, the park was restored in the 1950s and is now open to the public every day from 08.00 - 19.00. Wonderful for children and a good venue for a picnic.
Tickets: adults 8, children up to four years free, from four to seven years 7. Special prices for schools and groups of 30 people and more.
