This is an opportunity for three singers (Roberta Mantegna, Eleonora de la Peña and Valentina Varriale) from the Fabbrica young artists programme of Teatro dell'Opera di Roma to make their mark on this co-production with the National Opera Amsterdam. Stefano Montanari conducts and the director is Damiano Michieletto who was booed and heckled for his direction of Rossini's Guillaume Tell at Covent Garden in 2015, although he was subsequently invited back.
