Sasha Walz. 3-4 Dec 2004. In Impromptus, choreography by Sasha Walz. Impromptus is set to Franz Schuberts cycle of the same name plus four lieder. In this work, everything is eminently accessible, vertiginously so, as the dancers cascade down two super-raked slats. The dancing is marked by Waltzs quirky humour, and often continues in long intervals of silence between the musical pieces.
