The international dance film festival Cinedans Amsterdam isorganising together with Mediamatic from 4 - 8 July 2004 a workshop about interactive dance film for dance film makers, editors, choreographers and new media artists.

Mediamatic Foundation sheds a new light on the digital culture of the new media, the place where art and technology intertwine.

Mediamatic Foundation was established in 1985, and was originally founded to act as a meeting place and forum for video artists and TV dissidents. The Foundation published Mediamatic Magazine, an international bilingual journal in Dutch and English about the cultural and artistic implications of new media.

The workshop is a intense process where you get to know the possibilities of interactive storytelling, design your own project, discuss it with peers and experienced trainers, and build your own working prototype.

No special technical knowledge is required: technical assistants will be present throughout the sessions, which will be conducted in English.
