The American University of Rome department of international relations has begun its programme of autumn lectures. Mark your diary for:
Wed 3 Nov, 18.00-20.00. Winners and losers in the American elections; effects on US foreign policy. This seminar will explore foreign policy as the most important issue in the US elections.
Mon 8 Nov, 18.30-20.00. Franco Frattini, Italian minister of foreign affairs will discuss the high profile of foreign policy in the Berlusconi government. Frattini will lay out Italys position, its aims and accomplishments in foreign policy world-wide.
Mon 15 Nov, 18.30-20.00. West and East Africa; light and shade in international relations. This seminar will address the positive example of Ghana in its consolidation of democratic institutions and economic development, and compare it with the continents other crisis points.
