4-28 July 2005. Romes summer dance festival yet again graces the lovely gardens of Villa Massimo with an interesting programme that includes a number of performances that dance fans will not want to miss. The company Casa Public takes to the stage in Barba Blu, choreography by Helene Blackburn (15 July), a flamenco evening with the Compania Maria Serrano in Flamentango (18-19 July), San Franciscos Smuin Ballet in Dancin With Gershwin, choreography by Michael Smuin (22 July), Compagnia Teatro Nuovo in Carmen una storia mediterranea, with choreography by Luciano Cannito (26 July), and finally the excellent Balletto Teatro di Torino in choreographer Matteo Levaggis Caravaggio (28 July). Tickets in the front rows are a must.
