7-28 July 2003. The only summer dance festival in Rome is back in the gardens of the restored Villa Massimo. The setting is beautiful, but booking is a must if you want good seats. The programme is varied but not very interesting: the Portuguese Company of Contemporary Dance in La voce umana della passione (14 July); an evening of traditional Greek folk dancing (15 July); Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal (17-18 July); the Scottish Dance Theatre in High Land My House is melting, choreography by Janet Smith and Beth Cassani (21-22 July); the Jose Greco Flamenco Dance Company (25 July); and Fabula Saltica from the Teatro Comunale di Rovigo in Pinocchio burattino senza fili, choreography by Claudio Ronda (28 July).
