The Fiddler's Elbow screens "The General" on Thursday 7 March at 18.30 as part of its ongoing "Irish Mobsters" series of Irish crime movies presented by Domenico Monetti.
Based on the real-life story of infamous Dublin crime boss Martin Cahill, who pulled off two daring heists in Ireland in the 1980s, and subsequently attracted unwanted attention from the police, the IRA, the UVF and members of his own team. Cahill was assassinated in 1994.
Directed by John Boorman, starring Brendan Gleeson, Adrian Dunbar, and Jon Voight.
Entry to the event is free.
