Now in its 20th year, this quality cinema event lights up the Isola Tiberina in the middle of the river Tiber each evening over the summer.

A highlight of this year's festival is Isola Mondo with a special focus on international films, as well as Ciak d'Italia which presents the best in Italian cinema, screening films in the presence of directors and actors, including Carlo Verdone, Paolo Virzì and Paola Cortellesi.

The multi-faceted festival includes numerous encounters and discussions with important figures from the world of film. Prizes are awarded for the best director, film, screenplay, actress and actor.
