1-3 Sept. The Isola del Cinema festival on Rome's Tiber Island dedicates three evenings to Australian cinematography, with the Australian Focus event from 1-3 September.

The first screening, which is by invite only, is The Water Diviner, directed by and starring Russell Crowe, taking place on 1 September.

The cinema programme continues with the Italian premieres of Spear by Stephen Page, on 2 Sept, and The Last Cab to Darwin by Jeremy Sims, on 3 Sept.

The second and third screenings are open to the public and take place at 21.30. All films are screened in their original language versions, with Italian subtitles.
