Ivo Pogorelich Piano concert.
11 April 2005. Born in Belgrade in 1958, Ivo Pogorelich began learning to play the piano at the age of seven before moving to Moscow as a 12-year-old to study at the Russian capitals Central Music School and then at the celebrated Tchaikovsky Conservatory. The pianist was married for twenty years to the renowned pianist and teacher Aliza Kezeradze, also his teacher and collaborator, until her early death in 1996. Pogorelich has been a prize-winner throughout his career and has performed at all the top stages and with many of the most famous conductors. The Berlin concert features two nocturnes and a sonnet by Chopin, as well as sonnets by Skjabin and Philharmonie Berlin, Rachmaninoff. Tickets costs from 18.40 to 58.65.
