27 April. The American University of Rome (AUR) presents the 2017 James Walston Memorial Lecture on Thursday 27 April at 19.00.

Entitled What Is Democracy without Human Rights or the Rule of Law?, the lecture is by Dr. Lyal S. Sunga, a prominent specialist on international human rights law, international humanitarian law and international criminal law.

The talk is dedicated to the memory of James Walston, who, in addition to being professor of international relations and global politics at AUR from 1990 to 2014, was a regular political contributor to Wanted in Rome since the magazine was founded in 1985.
