20 Feb 2009: lecture entitled Genji E-Maki: Storie illustrate di Genji by Hideki Yotsutsuji, vice director of the Tokugawa Art Museum. The lecture analyses the origin and the evolution of the rich iconography that sprung from the figure of the Genji. On show at the Academy until 7 March is an illustrated hand-scroll of the Tale of Genji dating back to the 11th century (18.30).
