17 Sept-30 Oct 2009. In the work of Kaarina Kaikkonen familiar objects acquire a new life. However the artist does not just have a fancy for recycling but believes that individual objects carry with them their own, former layers of meaning into a new context. Here Kaikkonen presents a double solo show in two different locations. The first is a large site-specific installation at the Pastificio Cerere Foundation, a restored pasta factory in the heart of S. Lorenzo that evokes labour and productivity. The second, also an installation, takes place in the z2o Gallery Sara Zanin, where works on panels and a big sculpture are exhibited. 14.30-19.30.
