Ken Loach film festival in Rome
The Casa del Cinema in Villa Borghese presents a festival dedicated to the work of celebrated English film and television director Ken Loach, from 5-8 March.
Entitled Il Cinema Libero di Ken Loach, the four-day festival features the director's 1971 masterpiece Family Life, as well as a selection of films from between the 1990s and 2000s, including the 2006 Palme d'Or-winning The Wind That Shakes the Barley, and the recent documentary The Spirit of '45.
Screenings at 20.00 and 22.00, with the earlier viewings preceded each evening by discussions on Loach's work, at 19.30.
All films screened in original language version with Italian subtitles. The festival is free but seating is on first come-first served basis.
