Laboratorio Eterno
25 Oct-25 Jan. Exhibition exploring the influence of Italy on the work of five Nordic artists: Siri Kollandsrud from Norway, Marianne Grønnow, Anita Viola Nielsen and Jane Maria Petersen from Denmark and Elisabeth Westerlund from Sweden.
The artist's works will be exhibited alongside the 200 monumental plaster and bronze sculptures by the Norwegian artist Hendrik Christian Andersen, from whom the museum takes its name.
The mixed media works created by the five Nordic artists have been inspired by the art of Andersen who lived in Rome from 1896 until his death in 1940. In the 1920s he built the neo-renaissance Villa Helene which he bequeathed to Italy in his will.
It is now a part of a group of public museums affiliated with Italy’s Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna (GNAM) located nearby.
