The American University of Rome presents a public lecture by prominent archaeologist Lord Colin Renfrew at the Centro Studi Americani on Via Caetani 32, at 17.30 on Wednesday 15 January.
Entitled The First Monument: Humankind Before Religion (From Gõbekli Tepe to Peru), the lecture is being held in collaboration with the Balzan Foundation.
Renfrew is best known for his work on radiocarbon dating and the prehistory of languages, and in 2004 he received the prestigious Balzan Prize for Prehistoric Archaeology.
