Mæternità exhibition at Villa Giulia in Rome
23 March-2 June. An exhibition at the National Etruscan Museum at Villa Giulia focuses on issues concerning motherhood and breastfeeding in the Etruscan and Roman world.
On display are numerous votive statuettes, many of them restored and making their first appearance outside of museum storage, highlighting the role of mothers in raising their children in the family home.
