The Filmstudio in Trastevere screens Man of Aran in its original language version with Italian subtitles.

Pioneering filmmaker Robert J. Flaherty captures the harsh realities of life on Ireland's beautiful but inhospitable Aran Islands — battered day in day out by the ferocious Atlantic Ocean — in this blend of documentary and fictional narrative which scooped top prize at the Venice Film Festival in 1934.
