28 Aug-7 Sept 2003. This event started in August 1977 with the first edition of the "Estate Romana". It has changed over the years together with the changing needs and tastes of the city. This year it is split into five sections which take place at different times. The first section, entitled "Gangs of cinema", is dedicated to works that were "filmed on the road", including Martin Scorseses latest film "Gangs of New York". According to its traditional formula two films will be screened every evening.
