Memorie Urbane: From Wall to the Gallery
4-28 July. The sixth edition of Memorie Urbane Street Art Festival is showcased with a collective street art show at dMake Art in the Monti district of Rome, from 4-28 July.
Entitled From Wall to the Gallery, the exhibition features international street artists who have contributed to the six editions of Memorie Urbane and whose first works in Italy were are the invitation of the annual festival.
The artists include Alias, Martin Whatson, Snik, Nafir, FRZ, Levalet, Kunstrasen, Isaac Cordal, PichiAvo, MAD, Lula Goce, Dale Grimshaw, Hyuro, Faith47, Frederico Draw, Apolo Torres, Sema Lao, Paulo Ito, Chazme, Iheart, Khamoosh, Deih, and David de la Mano.
Founded in 2011 by Davide Rossillo, Memorie Urbane has engaged international street artists to transform neglected urban areas each year in around a dozen small towns south of Rome including Gaeta, Terracina, Fondi, Latina, Priverno, Caserta and Itri.
The show opens at 19.00 on 4 July, and is open until 28 July, Mon-Fri 10.30-19.00. For full details see website.
