20 Oct. Celebrated American actress Meryl Streep is guest of honour at the Rome Film Fest on Thursday 20 October at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.

Streep will give a public talk, at 17.30 in the Sala Sinopoli, about scenes from her most famous films as well as about the great Italian divas who have influenced her, in particular Silvana Mangano.

Later Streep will present her latest film, Stephen Frears’ Florence Foster Jenkins, at 20.00 in the Sala Sinopoli. 

The movie, which stars Streep alongside Hugh Grant, is set in New York in 1944 and is centred around heiress Florence Foster Jenkins, one of the doyennes of New York’s high society.
