9 May-22 June 2008. The Brancolini Grimaldi Arte Contemporanea displays the pictures of Vietnam by the American artist Mitch Epstein. For the past 35 years, Epstein has made pictures, films and photographic books but since the early 1990s he has mainly focused on Vietnam and its post war transformation.
Between 1992 and 1995 Vietnam started to emerge from its isolation and opened its borders to foreigners. Epstein undertook six journeys to Vietnam and published a book of photos,
