Count William Coronini of Cronberg (1905-1990) and Mario Praz (1895-1982) were contemporary collectors; the former acquired a vast patrimony of works of art administered today by a foundation that carries his name; the latter created an exquisite home that perfectly illustrates the tastes and trends from 1770 to 1850, between neo-classicism and Biedermeier. This home in Rome has recently become the Praz Museum and now hosts a temporary exhibition of some 30 works from the Coronini Collection.
