Internationally acclaimed Chinese-born choreographer Shen Wei says he seeks a new approach to movement and the body for both performer and audience. He uses classical techniques to challenge contemporary thinking, and integrates artistic disciplines with startling simplicity. Re (part 1) is inspired by a recent journey to Tibet and draws on traditional Buddhist chant.
