The American University of Rome presents Moral Dilemmas in Leadership, a lecture by Admiral Anthony Gaiani, on Wednesday 16 April at 18.30.
Rear Admiral (ret) Anthony E. Gaiani offers an account of the first night of the war in Afghanistan, the challenge of choosing among opposing leadership imperatives under stress, and the ethical consequences in decision making.
Currently a visiting professor at AUR, Admiral Gaiani was Commander, Navy Region Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia and Commander Maritime Air Naples. Before being posted in Europe, he helped to plan the strategy formed in the first few weeks after 9/11, while more recently he oversaw operations during the war in Libya.
The lecture takes place at the Istituto Italiano Studi Germanici and is part of the Carlucci Entrepreneurship Forum 2014, an annual initiative that provides a platform for international business leaders to address AUR students on subjects that could affect the global landscape and business environment. This year's theme is leadership.
