New Operafestival.
22 June-15 Aug 2004. This festival was started ten years ago to provide a launch pad for young singers and musicians. The opera programme consists of six performances of Mozarts Don Giovanni (24-31 July) and a performance in concert form of Puccinis La Bohme with soprano Marsha Thomson (25 July). The festival also includes a symphonic programme, an evening with Neapolitan songs (5 Aug), a concert dedicated to film music (7 Aug), a tango evening (9 Aug), as well as performances of Rigoletto (10 Aug) and Tosca (13 Aug).
