New Year's Day celebrated on Rome's bridges
1 Jan. Festa di Roma is a cultural programme celebrating New Year's Day on four Rome bridges and along the river Tiber.
Over the course of 18 hours, more than 500 performers will ring in the new year, from dawn to dusk.
The bridges involved in the initiative are Ponte della Scienza, Ponte della Musica, Ponte Sisto and Ponte S. Angelo.
The line-up ranges from live dj sets to orchestras, for full programme see city website.
