18 Nov-25 Jan 2007. Organised by the Polish Institute in Rome, the works on show have been borrowed from the Ethnographical Museum of Warsaw. Born in 1895, Nikifor (his real name was Epifaniusz Drwoniak), is considered to be one of the worlds great naf painters. In the course of his life he produced some 40,000 paintings, most of them watercolours, but also oil paintings, gouaches and drawings.
