Notte Molto Nera
31 May - 25 July.
Photographs by Laura Cusano keep alive the memory of the Sabra and Shatila massacre. Cusano, who is a photographer and an anthropologist, travelled to Lebanon as part of a project created by the late journalist Stefano Chiarini to keep historical memory alive. The 20 large photographs on show offer the chance to reflect on one of the most dramatic pages of the Arab-Israeli conflict: the 1982 unpunished massacre of some 3,500 Palestinians by a Lebanese Christian Phalangist militia.
