Nuovi Spazi Musicali 2009
This is the 30th edition of the sophisticated contemporary music festival directed by composer Ada Gentile. As usual the festival showcases new music and composers and relies on the cooperation of foreign academies and institutes, which also host events themselves. There are five concerts this year, each one dedicated to a nation: Italy, Hungary, USA, Germany and Finland. All in all there are 41 works on the programme, 12 of which have been especially commissioned by the festival. All events are free of charge in accordance with the aim of encouraging as broad a public as possible, including young people.

14 Oct Recital by Uta Buchheister mezzosoprano and Monaldo Bracconi piano. Music by Rubbert, Sebastiani, Mannino and others (20.30). Goethe Instiut, Via Savoia 5.
19 Oct Chamber music concert by the Piccola Accademia degli Specchi conducted by Giovanni Rosati. Music by Feldman, Glass, Susman, Nyman, Sollima, Sommacal, Ravinale (21.00). Villa Aurelia, Porta S. Pancrazio 1
