Nuovi Spazi Musicali.
5-26 Oct 2006. This is the 27th edition of a contemporary music festival whose programme is drawn up in collaboration with foreign embassies, cultural institutions and academies, offering world premieres of contemporary music pieces from seven different nations. The theme underlying the sophisticated programme is Robert Schumann on the 150th anniversary of his death. Each concert will feature a work by Schumann as well as works by contemporary composers who have been inspired by him. An interesting characteristic of the programme is its (rare) emphasis on women composers such as Lucia Ronchetti, Sabine Panzer and Judit Varga.
