A play with live music focusing on the lives of two iconic American musicians — father and son Tim and Jeff Buckley — is staged in Rome from 24 February to 1 March.
Both musicians left their mark on the music scenes of their generations, one in the 1960s, the other in the 1990s; both succumbed to tragic fates early in their lives.
This play, a mixture of theatre and music, examines their lives, their contribution to the music world, and their absent father-son relationship.
Written, directed and performed by Francesco Meoni, the production features Vincenzo Marti (vocals and guitars), Toni Mancuso (trumpet and flugelhorn), Danilo Valentini and Luca Figliuoli (guitar); Nicola Ronconi and Alberto Caneva (bass), with Rocco Teora and Salvatore Caruso (drums).
Performances take place at the Teatro Spazio Uno in Trastevere, from Tuesday to Saturday at 21.00, and on Sunday at 18.00.
