21 March. Open Testaccio is an annual event that allows visitors to explore Rome's Testaccio district on Saturday 21 March, from 09.00-23.00.
For one day the neighbourhood's cultural associations, businesses, universities, theatres, museums, artisans and markets open their doors to the public. Initiatives include guided tours, opening of archaeological sites, art exhibitions, children's shows, dance classes, food tastings, art workshops, book presentations and concerts.
The event is backed by the city and organised by Architettura fatta in Casa, a cultural association comprising young architects and artists, based in Testaccio, on Via B. Franklin 25, where you can collect a brochure with the various points of interest and activities taking place.
