20 May-4 Oct. Exhibition dedicated to Rome painter Cipriano Oppo (1891-1962) who was part of the capital's Scuola Romana art movement in the 1930s.

However he is perhaps best known for his work as a set and costume designer for Rome's opera house, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, La Scala in Milan and La Fenice in Venice.

The works on show give a broad overview of the artist's career, comprising 50 paintings, 20 drawings, 20 set design sketches and four costumes.

Organised in collaboration with the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the exhibition also features a display of archive material including the artist's correspondence with artists and intellectuals, documents, photos, cartoons, drawings and portraits.
