Paolo Pellegrin. Un'Antologia at MAXXI Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo.
7 Nov-10 March. MAXXI presents more than 200 photographs highlighting the creative journey and principal themes of the celebrated Italian photographer Paolo Pellegrin who for over two decades has combined the documentary style of a reporter with the visual intensity of an artist.
The recipient of 10 World Press Photo awards and a member of Magnum agency since 2005, Pellegrin’s work is examined under two central themes: the human condition, and the natural world. As part of the exhibition, MAXXI has asked the photographer to carry out a work dedicated to L’Aquila and its rebuilding following the earthquake that devastated the city almost a decade ago.
