Paper Prospects-Landscape Art in Ireland

Paper Prospects is a collection of 40 landscape paintings from the National Gallery of Irelands extensive collection that provides a sweep of the landscape tradition in Ireland during the 1700s and 1800s. The picks up on the influences of then ground-breaking English artists on the Irish scene as well as showing how Irelands own tradition inspired many English painters in their turn. Just some of the artists featured in the show are Frederic William Burton, John Constable, James Malton, Andrew Nicholl, Francis Place, Paul Sandby and Peter de Wint. Entry is free.
